I am proud to be a member of the board of Healing Heroes. Recent life experience has brought the amazing power of mindfulness and self-healing to the forefront in our home. In today’s high speed, high stress society, the need for all of us to learn to nurture our spirit and tap in to our own abilities to reduce stress and increase of our overall health is vast. This would be all the more true for those in careers that require them to work on an intimate level with trauma on a daily basis. I fully believe in the benefits this program can offer.
My passion is teaching and empowering people to be the next better version of who they already are. Yoga has transformed my mental and physical health and my entire lifestyle. I am on the board of Healing Heroes because I am proof of the positive results of yoga practice and because I believe it literally heals body and soul. I am passionate about extending these practices to as many people as possible, particularly communities that need it the most.
Retired Banker and Father of the founder so very proud to support such a great project.

Hey all! I’m Jonathan Lutz, second son to the founder Tania Lutz. An EQ oriented person, who can feel the energy in any room. Healing Heroes is a powerful outlet for those in need and helps to allow the energy in any room to become calm, inviting, accepting, and loving. Thats what i’m all about! I accepted a position on the Board of Directors because it truly makes me proud to help those who live to help others.
Before finding a regular yoga and meditation practice, my life was filled with stress, anxiety, chronic pain and self-judgement. Years spent working as a corporate chef had left me drained, unhealthy and overweight. After finding yoga, meditation and focused breath, this journey has allowed me to find deep inner calmness and self-acceptance. Through this practice, I began to transform. Not just physically but emotionally as well. I’m part of Healing Heroes because I strive to spread this passion for yoga with anyone who’s willing and firmly believes that yoga, in some form, is accessible to everyone. Yoga and meditation allow time to disconnect from day-to- day troubles and go within. Every body and mind can find healing through consistent, compassionate, practice.
As a police officer for the past 29 years Don has spent his career looking out for his co-workers and the community at large. He comes to Healing Heroes with experience gained through years of experience working for a variety of charitable causes, and is currently a member of the GlobalMedic Rapid Response Team, responding to natural disasters and areas of conflict to provide humanitarian aid and potable water systems to those in need.
Hi, my name is Jackie and I am co-owner of Power Yoga Canada Georgetown. Over the last three years since opening our doors we have watched members of our community from all walks of life come into our space and experience the benefits of yoga. Most come in with a set intention of why they need yoga and then are completely surprised by what else shifts/changes once they develop a regular practice. Some individuals experience greater strength and flexibility, an increased awareness of breath & body awareness, or stress release.
When Tania was in the early stages of manifesting and creating Healing Heroes, I felt an almost magnetic pull to want to be involved. Healing Heroes just makes sense. It is a phenomenal vehicle to introduce the power and benefits of yoga and breath to individuals that may experience profound trauma and stress on a daily basis. At the end of day, EVERY BODY needs yoga.
